Running an 8-person drywall crew in the Twin Cities, I’m looking at ABC’s night estimating course and the Procore Cert, but I only have time for one this spring. If you’ve taken either, did it move the needle on bid hit rate or day-to-day crew management, and was the ROI worth the tuition?
Running a similar 8‑person crew in St. Paul, the ABC night estimating course moved our ‘hit rate’ about 5% over a quarter by standardizing takeoffs and scope clarifications. @OP, do your main GCs require Procore today? If not, take ABC now and slot the Procore Cert after summer; if they do, the cert pays off mainly in faster RFIs/submittals once you’re in their instance.
And @william15 is right on hit rate; with your spring time, do ABC now, Procore Cert when jobs slow.
