When tools rebel on the job site

Ever had a moment where you’re knee-deep in a project, perfectly managing the timeline, and suddenly your drill decides it’s taking a vacation? Just this week, I was trying to finish up a deck and my trusty old impact driver kept jamming. I swear it was mocking my meticulous project management skills. Anyone else had their tools pull a fast one on them, or is it just me?

, I totally get you! Just last week, my impact driver started acting like it was on strike, too. Have you tried cleaning it out?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌

I’ve definitely been there — last week my saw decided to quit mid-cut! Try giving your tools a good clean and check the battery; it’s surprising how often that helps. Are you using any specific brands that you trust?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌

I’ve had my impact driver throw a fit too! Sometimes it just needs a little break. Ever try a quick battery refresh?.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

You’re not alone! My drill took a break while I was trying to finish my deck too. @liamill, ever thought about checking the gears? Sometimes a little maintenance goes a long way.
