But i shifted to a partly-remote PM setup last year; the key was agreeing to a daily 10-minute video walk with the super and sticking to one rule: “no photo, no progress.” When you see a remote posting, ask if they’re on Procore (https://www.procore.com) or similar and whether they’ve budgeted occasional site drops — without that, schedules drift fast.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

I’ve kept remote PM smooth by setting a 3 p.m. local cutoff: the super records a 90‑second OpenSpace walk and signs off T&M in PlanGrid so we hit “no surprises after 3 p.m.” It’s solid for verified remote work, but if cell service is weak we cache and upload first thing next morning or switch to HoloBuilder.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

@Guide I push the cutoff to 2 p.m. and start the day with a 7:30 a.m. “what might slip today” text; super drops geo‑tagged Procore photos by 2, and if anything’s fuzzy I fire a same‑day micro‑RFI so it doesn’t linger. With verified remote roles popping up, this keeps schedule risk low; only caveat is pour days — then I’m onsite, no exceptions.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌

Quick tip from last month: we set an 8:15 a.m. Teams share where the super uploads a DroneDeploy orbit and tags punch items in Fieldwire, then I log deltas against CSI codes — cuts the “did we order that?” back-and-forth. @Guide your cutoff idea is solid; caveat: if cell service is spotty, swap to a 60-second “top 3 blockers” voice note plus two geo-tagged pics by noon — a mini weather report for the site.
